Cameras, streaming & conferencing
A hybrid room needs a camera, a microphone the remote side can actually hear, and a display for the far end. Streaming adds a capture path and a person, or a simple encoder, watching that path.
Where it usually fits
- Hybrid meetings
- Remote presenters
- Webinars and training capture
- Event documentation
- Overflow streams
Conferencing cameras
Room cameras and tabletop cameras that see a whole table, plus simpler webcams for a small meeting. The microphone still matters more than the lens. A wide camera on a noisy speakerphone is not a hybrid plan.
- Table size and how many people are in frame
- A display so the room can see remote participants
- Audio from the room system, not the camera mic, when the room is large
Capture and streaming
Cameras on tripods, a clean feed from the mixer, and capture or an encoder aimed at the platform you already use. Lighting belongs in the same quote if the presenter would otherwise be a silhouette.
- One locked wide shot, or a second camera for close-ups
- Program audio from the mixer, with a backup mic
- Where the encoder sits, and how it reaches the network
What to tell us
- Platform the stream or call already uses
- In-room audience, remote audience, or both
- Recording for later, or live only
- Network the venue will actually provide
Often quoted with
- Sound & mics
Speakers, mixers, and wireless microphones for presentations, panels, and small stages.
- Lighting, staging, pipe & drape
Stage wash, portable decks, and pipe and drape for sessions that need a defined front of house.
- Video scalers & processors
Scaling, conversion, and switching so laptops, cameras, and playback share one picture.
